Y'all.. has anyone found a free/libre/open source program that just lets me feed it an audio file and it spit out a plain text file of what was said? (.srt would be a bonus, but honestly I'll settle for just a text file)
I'm currently using a webservice, but I'd really, really prefer to keep everything on my own box.
I'm really enjoying getting to be inclusive and #accessible , and I'm gonna keep doing it, but I'm just not finding tools I like for #transcription.

@avalon
I'm also looking for the same and some time ago I found "Parlatype", maybe it could be useful.
However, I have not had time to try it out yet.

@lightmat looks like that's a solid tool for doing manual transcription, but not quite what I'm looking for. Thanks though!
